The fully automatic solid state electronic torque controlled tube expanding controller is electrical and is based on the fact that under equal conditions the same amount of torque transmitted to an expander gives the same amount of expansion in tubes of identical sizes, gauge and material.
The control unit consists of an electrical circuit, which accurately measures the amount of current to the Drive Unit, provides precise regulation of the Drive Unit.
The Drive Unit is a universal electronic drill type machine.
This machine is reversible.
The control unit accurately measures the current value, thus limiting the torque at the mandrel of the tube expander.
